The Coleman Aero Cessna Flap Track Inspection Tool saves mechanics time on many single piston engine Cessnas.
The tool provides a convenient reference with the following dimensions:
Flap track slot width: 0.6035” wear limit specified in current Cessna Maintenance Manuals (172, 182/182T).
Track thickness: Cessna structures engineering recommends a maximum wear of 10% of the flap track thickness. This tool works with two common track thicknesses: 0.25” (172, 180, 182, 185, and others) and 0.16” (150 and some others).
All limit dimensions are etched directly on the tool. This tool provides easy reference for both the top and bottom track thickness with a matching pair of go/no-go gauges (see photos). It is made of stainless steel and steel for repeated shop use.
